How Nuage Diagnostics (NuageDx) compares with other Store and Share apps


There are multiple apps, such as DropBox, Box, Share file, One Drive, Net Documents, and Google Drive, that lawyers use for storing and sharing documents. How does NuageDx (Nuage Diagnostics) differ?

Store and share medical images

 

The NuageDx app says it can store and share entire medical imaging exams. Dropbox doesn’t have the ability to do that. Therefore the imaging discs have to be copied and mailed. When mailing imaging studies, the receiving party needs  a special viewer and occasionally the discs are corrupted. How does NuageDx avoid this problem?

Store and share medical images

In the past when consulting with a medical specialist, an attorney had to travel to meet with the specialist  so a side-by-side discussion of the  images  and medical reports could be accomplished. Now using video conferencing, the exams can be viewed  together and discussed without the need to travel.  How does NuageDx make this simpler?

  • When reviewing medical images and documents there is a time-line of  the incident and when the medical imaging studies and other exams were performed. They must be reviewed in the same sequence to fully understand what has occurred with the Client.  Those users who have done this while in a video conference  and when using discs and documents, often have difficulties in understanding  and keeping a record of the sequence of the events.

Reviewing medical images on discs can be cumbersome and time consuming when the discs often have to  be inserted  and  ejected many times during the collaboration. There may be several discs, each with multiple imaging exams, or a single disc with multiple exams. Do you have all the exams and records? Which disc contains the pertinent exam? Which exam on that disk  is important?  When there are CT or MRI exams it is important to know which image (there are often hundreds of images for one exam) is important. How confusing and time consuming this can become.

When using NuageDx all documents and imaging exams are stored and shared in the sequence they occurred. All are labeled with file description, content of the exam, date of occurrence, and last modified date. Since all files are readily available, reviewing the time sequence of events is easy. Switching between different medical imaging studies occurs instantaneously since imaging discs are not needed after they have been uploaded to NuageDx. During the video conference key images can be annotated and saved for later review. The entire video conference can also  be recorded and saved for later review, note taking,  and image annotation. Recordings can be deleted as needed.

Organized storage and sharing of files for lawyers

When multiple files need to be  shared and later additional files need to be shared , the receiving party often has difficulty in organizing and storing them so all files from the same client or matter are stored together. How can NuageDx solve this problem?

under the Client/Matter Profile containing:

  • Client and Matter name
  • File content and date of file
  • Last modified date and date uploaded
  • Folder location
  • When additional files for a Client or Matter are shared, they will appear in the same Client/Matter Profile location with any previously shared files.

Lawyers  need to know who they have shared files with

 

Does the  NuageDx audit log track who has the shared files and what files have been shared?

  1. Active app view shows in real-time  who has shared files and which files are being shared with them. These files may then be unshared at any time.
  2.  Audit Log tracks the access and usage history of those that have previously been shared files
